The board of directors of Valparaiso United (VUFC) and Real Salt Lake - Arizona (RSL-AZ) announce their intention to merge. Tryouts for the 2018-19 season will be conducted in May 2018 under the auspices of RSL-AZ.

The proposed merger will bring unity to a sport that has become increasingly fractured in Arizona, and we look forward to realizing the economies of scale that can be achieved. By joining with RSL-AZ, each VUFC player stands to benefit from a greater depth of players to form teams whose members are at skill parity. Additionally, the merger will bring about a shared training protocol that is consistent from youth academy to development academy and beyond.  

We are proud to stand behind the mission of Real Salt Lake-AZ, which is  "to be one of the leaders in youth development in the country as well as be the "Gold Standard" within Arizona.

Equally important to our mission of developing talent, is our mission to develop compassionate and educated men and women. We will provide the necessary social experiences for them to succeed off the field.  We will instill in our young men and women a "Giver" mentality which puts service, whether to your team, club, family or community, ahead of one's self."
